  10.          An easy to use Zip manager.  It displays the current
  11.          default directory and you simply tag the files you
  12.          want zipped.

  15.          Updated version to operate correctly while using DOS 5.0
  16.          and addition of ZipView function.

  25.          FILE_ID.DIZ   (File description for automatic insertion
  26.                         of description when uploaded to most BBS's)

  28.          Any other or additional files included in the zip are not
  29.          supplied by me and should be removed before uploading to
  30.          a BBS.

  35.          To use, The program PKZIP.EXE (R) must be on your disk,
  36.          and preferably within a search path.
  37.          If it is not in a search path, you may specify on the
  38.          command line, what directory or drive, PKZIP is in.
  39.                Example:

  43.          It is best to place PKZIP in a directory and include that
  44.          directory in the path statement in your Autoexec.bat file.
  45.          Then you may place this program in the same directory and
  46.          call both programs from which ever drive or directory you
  47.          are working in.

  50.          To select files in a directory,  simply go to that directory
  51.          and invoke ZARC.
  52.          A window listing of the directory files will appear.
  53.          Select the files that you want to include in the zip-file
  54.          by pressing the space-bar to tag, or un-tag the selections.
  55.          The directory may have more than one page of files, and
  56.          additional pages may be displayed by pressing PgDn or PgUp.
  57.          The Arrow keys will move the highlighted file marker up or
  58.          down.  When pressing the spacebar, the highlighting marker
  59.          moves down one place so as to tag many files easily.  You
  60.          must change pages to tag additional files on the other pages.

  72.          When you are finished selecting the files by tagging them,
  73.          press Z and enter the name of the zipfile that want to create.
  74.          Do not use any extension with the zipfile name.     It will
  75.          default to .ZIP automatically.     If the selected Zip name
  76.          already exist, a warning will be displayed.
  77.          If the file already exist, it can either add the tagged files
  78.          to the existing zip, or update the existing zip if the file
  79.          already exist within the zip.

  81.          Zarc will exit and zip the files requested into the file name
  82.          that you specified.

  84.          The following commands are available in registered versions
  85.          of ZARC.EXE only:
  86.          V = View an ascii file.
  87.          Alt-V = Zip-View a zipped file.
  88.          Alt-T = Tag all files.
  89.          Alt-U = Untag all files.

  91.          While selecting files, registered versions may view text files
  92.          to ensure that you are zipping the proper file.
  93.          If ZARC finds characters in the viewed file that are not ascii
  94.          characters, it will cancel and return to the window.  likewise
  95.          if the file extension is .EXE or .COM it won't even try to view
  96.          the file and beep to tell you that it is not viewable.

  98.          Registered versions can Zip-View A zipped file to display  the
  99.          file names within the zipfile.  To view the file names within a
  100.          Zipfile, Enter Alt-V.  You can only Zip-View a file that has a
  101.          .ZIP extension.

  103.          Registered versions can Tag or Untag all files in the directory
  104.          with one keystroke by entering Alt-T or Alt-U.
  105.  
  106.          Registration is required for commercial use of ZARC.EXE.

  108.          Introductory offer for this version 2.2 only:
  109.          If you register before July 30, 1992, the fee is $10.
  110.          you will be registered, and new releases may be sent to you
  111.          when and if they become available.
  112.          To obtain updated versions, an additional $ 5.00 is required
  113.          to cover the cost of mailing, handling, and a 5 1/4" diskette.

  116.          This $10 offer is not available for Commercial users.
